Fashion’s Night Out 2010 Miami

9 Sep

Checking e-mail and came across this lovely reminder (as if I could forget!)…. is anyone else getting pumped up for this?? Fashion’s Night Out is TOMORROW, Friday September 10th. As the image suggests, I will be attending FNO in the Design District.  Let the outfit preparation begin!  I’ll be sure to post my outfit for you all to see ;). It was tough choosing between the different local events, considering they stretch all the way from Palm Beach to Kendall. Personally, I like the funky downtown atmosphere of Miami’s Design District.

As I’m sure you’re all aware, this is the first year FNO has been celebrated outside of New York City. For a list of complete events/cities:

The night antes leaving for Peru we had dinner at Scarpetta in the Fountainbleu Hotel on Miami Beach. Needless to say, it was PHENOMENAL. There’s a few days left of Miami Spice for those who want to take advantage…amazing comida and ambiance!

reunion

15 Aug

My cousin Michael stopped through Miami/Ft Lauderdale and we met up for breakfast this morning (remember I love breakfast so!). He drove from Kansas and down to FL to hit some cities and say hey to family and friends along the way! I only managed to get one photo before my camera died (I’ve been trying to switch up and reuse the same batteries for a while now, guess its time to buy more…)

This weekend, Novio and I caught up with some friends who live in Brickell. These shots of Brickell Bay are the view from the balcony of their new apartment-so beautiful! I love the dichotomy of skyscrapers next to open water…oh and the pups are cute too 🙂

The following day, we went over the bridge to South Beach where we spent a nice afternoon on the beach. The water was warm and the crowd wasn’t too bad although parking is a total nightmare. And the only pics I took were of this lifeguard hut…”Keep Your Beach Clean” rings close to home as I think of my beautiful hometown beach in Pensacola.

homecoming surprise!

I am super bummed to be back home, after having such an amazing tiempo en Colombia the past cinco dias, peroooo..I was greeted by a lovely package on my doorstep with some a-list makeup to play with ;). God bless my neighbors who didn’t snatch the package up for themselves…I know it must have been tempting! Here’s some of what I got:

OH and I have a TON of Colombia photos to upload……..will get to it this week when I get back to reality.
