Last Night in Miami: LANVIN Fashion Show!!

Last night, I had the honor of attending an evening of charity and fashion at the Fountainebleu hotel in Miami Beach. The event was sponsored by the shops at Bal Harbour & LANVIN to benefit Project Newborn. I got there in time to browse the silent auction goodies–there was so much up for auction! The crowd was bidding of luxurious things like fashion items from Bal Harbour Shops like Carolina Herrera and Yves Saint Laurent, and weekends at Miami Beach hotels like the FB and the Mandarin, just to name a few.

At around 9pm, IT HAPPENED. The FIRST EVER LANVIN RUNWAY SHOW IN THE USA. The clothes were UNBELIEVABLE. I was situated at the end of the runway by all the other press and photogs and the spotlight made getting pictures kinda tricky. With that said, please excuse some of my photos that look overexposed–I did the best I could! It was such an amazing experience and I am so grateful I got to attend.

Note, things got a little nippy in Miami this weekend, hence the faux fur vest. People here are so funny–it gets down to 60 degrees and people bust out the winter clothes. I love it. Silly Miami.

Fashion’s Night Out 2010 Miami

Checking e-mail and came across this lovely reminder (as if I could forget!)…. is anyone else getting pumped up for this?? Fashion’s Night Out is TOMORROW, Friday September 10th. As the image suggests, I will be attending FNO in the Design District.  Let the outfit preparation begin!  I’ll be sure to post my outfit for you all to see ;). It was tough choosing between the different local events, considering they stretch all the way from Palm Beach to Kendall. Personally, I like the funky downtown atmosphere of Miami’s Design District.

As I’m sure you’re all aware, this is the first year FNO has been celebrated outside of New York City. For a list of complete events/cities:

Though I do think they are on point with some Grace-inspired cardigans, pearls, and pencil skirts/dresses–at times they are also reaching a tad. I’m gonna take a wild guess that HRH would not strut around Monaco in a sheer applique shirt or body-con cutout dresses…but I guess it’s the thought that counts.

The Santo Domingos

Lauren and Andres….friggin love them. He’s a Colombian billionare, she’s a socialite and contributing blogger for Vogue. They had a literal fairytale wedding in Cartagena, which the Santo Domingos basically own. She alternates her daily bags between Proenza Schoulers and mochilas. They are wonderfully multicultural and my relationship style icons!!! Even more amazing, his sister dates Andrea Casiraghi, as in brother to Charlotte and grandson to my all time favorite icon, Princess Grace Kelly. What a small world we live in.
